The National Child Traumatic Stress Network provides services, training, consultation, and research, to provide high quality care for traumatized children and families. Another goal of the center is to improve access to care for traumatized children and families. The network is jointly coordinated by UCLA and Duke University. The network is funded by the Center for Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, and the US Department of Health and Human Services through the Donald J. The successful management of emergency situations requires advanced planning and preparation, and some of most critical aspects of an appropriate response are the safe evacuation and transport of older adults, people with disabilities, individuals living in group settings, or others who may lack access to personal transportation.
